It has always been said that diamond is the girl’s best friend. Cubic Zirconia is one kind of mineral that is truly exceptional. It is considered a zirconium oxide. It is often described as firm, extremely flawless and most of the time colorless, but still, it can also be seen available in several colors.
Do you know that the differences of these two beautiful gems are can only be distinguished with the use of a microscope? Yes! This only means that when a piece of cubic zirconia and a diamond are put up together side by side, you will not be able to distinguish which is which. That is the fact that even gemologists has agreed and proven. Even the experts and the gemologists were not able to tell exactly the dissimilarities with just the use of naked eye. First, the cubic zirconia appears to be less brilliant when compared to a diamond, if taken on a closer inspection.
Second, cubic zirconia tends to be heavier. It is 1.75 times heavier that a diamond.
Third, cubic zirconia is truly flawless. Diamonds may contain some impurities and even inclusions. It may also have some kind of imperfection that could be a feather or added crystal or just the face of the original crystal.
Fourth, most of cubic zirconias are completely colorless while the diamonds may have some touch of the color yellow or brown into some of its extent.
Fifth, diamonds are one of the most effective in terms of thermal conductors which mean they can easily allow the heat to get through them unlike with cubic zirconia which are reducing the heat transfer’s rate.
Sixth and the most important of all, cubic zirconia is inexpensive but still durable. They are also available in different shades of rainbow that makes them truly attractive.
The passion and dream of every lady in owning this precious stone is now attainable. Why run after the expensive one when you can have the same exact elegance in a much lesser price?
